Why Am I Talking About Strip That Fat?
This is a question people often ask me since there are many products to choose from. Well, the reason I want to talk about this book is because a friend recommended it to me and since following the diet, I have found it works for me and it really does promote healthy weight loss. I hope my review might help you decide whether this is something that is going to work for you too.
I also think that other reviews I have read miss the point about the main strengths of the Strip That Fat program.
I don’t think there is an absolutely perfect diet system and each person is different so I will tell you the good and the bad.
“So What is Good and What is Bad?”
The book has a great strength that really recommends it. But before I tell you what that is I want to tell you some of the good and bad stuff I feel about following the Strip That Fat system.
The thing I really liked is that you lose weight while still having a wide choice in what you eat. If you are anything like me, and probably millions of other people that want to lose weight, you have most likely tried several ‘miracle’ get slim fast products. I have often thought “wouldn’t it be great if there was a little pill that we all could take to get slim fast”.
This book gets you out of that thinking and makes you start looking at things from a more realistic and longer term perspective.
My overall thoughts about the book… I like the way it starts off by taking you through all the stuff you already know, but need to hear again. This helped me to get into the right frame of mind for the next steps. The most important message is that buying the book is NOT going to help you lose weight. You have got to want to make changes in your life – or you will simply be wasting your money. If you want to make changes and your goal is healthy weight loss this book should be right for you.
In the beginning the book goes through lots of the reasons why other diets fail. That struck a cord with me because I have tried some of them.
One of the reasons given for why other diets fail is the labeling of foods as ‘bad’ for you, so you have to avoid them. But actually the Strip That Fat system also does some labeling so they are a bit confused on that point.
I think the truth is that there are no fat loss miracle foods. However there are many things we can eat that will help us to be fitter, healthier and thinner and there are some things that are best avoided.
The problem is we do not all fully know which the ‘bad’ foods are or what is the best food to lose weight.
Strip That Fat deals with that problem by providing menu plans, which means you do not have to think too much about making the right choices. This is important because we are all individuals with our own particular food likes and dislikes. I found that having ready made meal plans helped me to make lasting changes to what I eat.
I Guess We All Have Different Taste
My only real issue was that the meals are not all to my taste. I think some of them are a bit unusual. But this is made up for by having a reasonable choice, so most people should be able to find enough things they like. Once I got the hang of how to manage my diet I found I could create my own meal plans, based on what I had learned from following the Strip That Fat meal plans.
One of the nice things, that makes it easy to do, is that there is no restriction on the quantity you eat so long as you stick to the meal plans, except that you should eat until you feel full, not overfull. You can choose from a selection of around 60 breakfast and light meals and 40 lunch and 40 dinner meals. All are designed for healthy weight loss and are good for losing weight. Once you have made your choice a 14 day meal plan is generated from the meals you selected, plus a shopping list.
The reason the Strip That Fat diet system is different, is NOT because they have discovered the next great miracle food or the latest lose weight fast ‘secrets’. In fact it is based on common, but sadly not often followed, simple truths about avoiding some of the fatty and processed foods, eating more frequently and doing some moderate exercise.
You will probably know a lot of the information provided, but it is always good to be reminded. Why is that? Because if you are reading this, despite all that you know and have tried before, you are most likely still looking for the right system to help you lose weight and keep the weight off. The problem is that you have not yet taken the steps that will help you lose weight and stay thinner!
